talk to matt fulghum (moderator of this forum). he built mine (a megasquirt 2) and so far it works great. some people prefer MS1, its really a personal preference thing.

Lex does damn good work. He prebuilt my unit recently. Price was pretty good too!
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

I needed to get one thing welded for the air temp sensor and then its pretty much bolt on besides for fine tuning

My MS1 works sweet!!! But I'm a prim example of tuning it properly. To much timing and you bend stuff

Both MSI and MSII systems can work equally well. The MSII is faster and offers better resolution ... but the difference is marginal. It comes down to personal preference in our cars.

The big difference will be the sequencer when it comes out - full sequential injection and ignition.

you can use a GM meter. I vaguely remember someone on 323gtx.uk using a 97 grand prix afm.
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

You throw away any kind of vaf completely. You use the built-in map sensor. It's very clean.
