    Escort GT Hold or Fold

With a little persuasion I am going to give up(sell cheap) my 91' EGT.....I love this car and drove daily for 11.5 years...I must have a cracked engine block or bad piston rings(in one cyl??)...anyway the car has a "shudder" when it runs(no real power /like a washing machine outta balance)....this is a real clean car from the engine compartment to the interior...I need to find some new hobbys ; HELP

Before you make any rash decisions, check for a blown head gasket... when I popped the head gasket in my 93 wagon, it ran almost exactly like that.

I agree. Worse come to worse you could always just rebuild the motor. Hell if it comes down to it I might buy it for the right price. Hit me up if you do want to sell it. I live less than 2hrs away

Edit: is this the 1 you just put the new head and head gasket you bought from me on? If so then it has to be the block or something else.

yea, turpro those are the heads you sold me(i think the heads are ok)...I think i have a bad block or piston rings....i used cam lube prior to start up and didn't over tighten the timing belt ; am still getting more lifter cam & noise than i'd like(10w-30)...i have 17 Hg. of mercury on the vaccum gage on the intake/there is very slight shake on the vaccum needle when it sits on 17Hg.

when i did a compression check after bolting on the head cyl. 1 & 2 showed 195psi on the gauge... then # three showed 0 psi...battery charger on the batt the whole time...pouring some oil in #3 i got ~195 psi and thought (prayed)that the piston rings might be a little rusted after sitting 2 years and now they have re-adjusted ???

this car goes together nicely cause all the fastners have been cleaned ,lubed...all new belts ,gaskets, timing belt tensioner New....
