    Ford Escort Gt Last Chance

    Just when I had given up all hope....I notice that # 2 and #4 spark plugs are severely fouled...I know this gt 91' is MFI/ ganged fuel injectors 2 injectors fire at the same time...This might be the key to fixing my car and avoid the bone yard ...Why and what causes this ...I do have the factory manual(no help with wiring)....if I fix this car I will be a happy camper(perhaps camping in KY soon?)... any comments would be welcomed comrades....Kent

    I'm thinking clogged fuel injectors(two bad??)which would starve two cylinders and dump too much(high pressure) fuel in the other cyls ....fuel injector relay only feeding one bank of injectors????

    Car has good compression so the heads and piston rings should be good enough...am not looking for a show car right now ; just a servicable ,running machine...

    Update sunday 5/18....the wire from the computer that feeds the negitave pulse to my #1 and#3 fuel injectors is bad ...will splice in some good wires to see if the car runs...these wires may have been violated when the original computer croaked with heater core anti freeze soak(overheating the wire ,like a fusable link???)...the wire in the picture is the wire that delivers the negitave pulse....it should be a constant reading(i surmise)instead i get constant drift of 500 ohms to to 2meg ohms ...constantly drifting.....
