I think my 626 is secretly plotting on me....

I was driving normally (for a change) and I go to put it in 3rd gear and there's this grinding noise after I let off the clutch, almost as if something broke and got wedged in there. No biggie, I pull over to check it out. I'm expecting a leak, but to my surprise there was no such leak. I was thinking that maybe the fluid level was low so I head to the parts store and don't use 3rd gear (which is the only gear making noise). I get there and I go to get some tranny fluid and a funnel. I take the drain plug out and I notice that fluid is coming out. Hmmm, plenty of fluid. I guess there's something else going on. The car will drive perfectly in every other gear but 3rd. So one day I'm stuck in Atlanta traffic and by accident I put it into 3rd and when I did that I heard something fall. I thought for sure that it was gonna wedge itself into the diff. Well, it didn't but now there's grinding noises in all foward gears. I'm hoping that when I get another trans I can just rebuild this one and use the Ford Escort 2nd gear with the '98 626 V6 5th gear. I truely and honestly didn't feel like wrestling another transmission from the junkyard this weekend. I need my car and I'm just to lazy to go pull one out. Well, at least my pro is running now. Dammit, this will make trans #4

^^ I wouldn't doubt it, lol. Most cars if you drive normally it will last longer. For some strange reason, da menace don't like that. It's quiet when I cruise him, but when it's time to get down....... he gets loud. real loud. But I think the achilles heel of this car definately has to be the G series transmission. I need to go find gears for it now. I don't think I wanna touch it this weekend.
