Out of STS, the class the escort and 323 should be in, I placed 3rd. BUT, my escort's steering rack almost broke on my first run so I parked it, and put my autocross tires on the 323 (which is stock except for the ebay coil sleeves, it's also not aligned right and has a loose control arm bushing) and managed 3rd in STS. My fastest run (not taking into account the cones I hit) was 2 seconds slower than the next fastest car, and 3 seconds slower than the winner, which isn't bad for a stock POS with 60whp. Anyway, I got "7th" in my "class" which is my club's sorry excuse for a class, that is clumping like 6 different ones together and pax'ing every time. If the escort wasn't messed up and had the same setup as last season, I would have easily beaten all of the cars I should be competing against, based on my impression of the 323, which now belongs to my dad. My fastest clean run was 5 seconds slower than the fastest in STS BTW.
This wasn't a tight course either, there were plenty of chances for the 323 to put its massive power down, which annoyed me even more because of how much slower in a straight line it is compared to my escort.
BTW the 323 looks good with miata 15's on it. It handles OK, not that well, but not frustratingly bad either.
