well i competed in my first solo II race this last weekend, had a blast, learned a lot.
well i raced my stock 96 pro dx, sad to say it didn't perform as much as i had hoped, course i'm a novice at this also. only one other protege there, but it was a 3rd gen and i'm guessing moddified (everytime it cornered hard a rear tire would be like 2in off the ground.... :S)
i was using stock steel rims with some cheap tires i was basicly forced to buy from lesschawb (had flat spots on all 4 from not breaking correctly for a deer and didn't have a lot of money at the time) they squealed a lot, they didn't like sharp turns and hard breaking, i pushed everything the best i knew how, and got some good tips on how to go a little further.
