how/where did you mount your MS?

mine is really ghetto rigged. its held in with one screw, a couple zip ties, and a folded up piece of cardboard is stuffed in on top of it so it wont vibrate... lol.

i probably should improve that. looking for ideas for myself, as well as for the benefit of everyone else. post pics if you can.

make something out of aluminum so that you can bolt it down in the stock location

stock location isnt that great, makes it annoying to get at to plug in the tuning cable, plus if the heatercore goes.... you're buying a new MS.

I have mine under the cupholder console and I have the tuning cable plugged in all the time and it run to the glovebox. So when I need to hook up, I simply pull it out of the glove box.

Mine is in the glove box.

I also used a fuse block and put that in there too.

I will be mounting mine under the center console. I am building a CarPC with a touchscreen. I have a extra trim piece that goes around my stereo, so I am going to mold the screen in the trim piece and I will have the MS always plugged into the PC so I will never have to worry about trying to connect them. I will have a partition (sp) on the hard-drive that will be designated to the programs for the MS and Maps and you will need a password to get into it or I am thinking about getting the fingerprint scanner. This way, no one car accidently change the maps and cause damage to the car. You will see this when it is all done in a couple months.
