    BP (and tranny?) into festiva

i know a couple of guys on here are running BP's in festivas, just wondering what needs to be done to get a bp in there... custom motor mounts? what about installing the BP tranny? (sorry don't know what it's called) i was planning on installing a b6t which is a direct swap, but i sold it and now have a spare bp and tranny out of an egt laying around. any help with how to do the swap would be great.

    Thanks,
    Garret

custom mounts are a yes, you also have to cut/weld the engine bay a bit to fit the crank pulley in i believe.

also i think the BP tranny would be to wide, and the axles would be to long. You might be able to use the B3 tranny/axles.

there's lots more than this fyi...

FordFestiva.com is your friend. Find out and make sure to report back here as I'm sure there are quite a few spare BP's lurking around these parts that would love to find a home in a nice 1,600lb festiva

i think you need to use a B6T tranny, unless you want to convert to a hydraulic clutch.

i own a b6t festiva your best bet is a g25m-r either a b6t or a bp is a good swap my car was carbd so the wirring was a little more dificult the only engine upgrade that is a plug and play is the sohc b6 if the festi is fuel injected. 2 of the mount are very simple the trans mount is the hardest
