    computer/Laptop repair

    I currently work at a computer and laptop repair shop where we service computers down to and including motherboard repairs. I can repair your broken LCD screens, replace inverters, repairs the main board, ect.

    I know there are a decent amount of tech savy members on CP.com but no one has offered repairs services.

    PM me with the details of your problem and I can get you an estimate on the repair.

    I have an old HP omnibook 6100 P3 machine that I happened across somehow. I believe it has a mother board related power issue. I thought I'd have it fixed by now but I just don't have time to mess with it. If you PM me your address, I'll ship it to you and you can see if you can get it working. It's not really worth much but if it is a simple soldier fix then it would be nice to have around. Let me know if you are interested.

            wanted to bump this for two reasons:

            1 this is now my full time gig and i offer remote support

            2 I have dropped my DC jack rate to $90 flat rate for any cp.com or imazda member

              How will you be offering remote tech support? Via phone or remote connection through windows or msn messenger?

              Also, that is a good fee for repairing DC jacks. Our shop charges 100+ to fix them.

                i can do phone support (it was my primary job for years) and I have a 3rd remote support program I pay for, its soo much more user friendly than MSN

                  i downloaded some haxxz0rz for my protege to make it god speed and now my computer is broked! haha jk

                      lol isnt he your roommate? it would probably be soo much easier to ask him in person

                      what would you charge to just look over my laptop to confirm what i believe is the problem?

                          My laptop does not power on anymore. The problem was intermittent for a while but has gotten worse. It got wet a while ago and has been doing it since. I have a Dell inspiron 4150. What do you think the problem could be?
                          I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

                            I can't believe you ruined my laptop!! Do any lights come in when you plug it in? Any splash screen?

                              yes it has lights and still works but I have to unplug the battery and power supply for a while for it to turn completely off before. You never mentioned having problems b4 0.o
