EGT BP into an MX-3. Wiring fubars :(

So ive got the EGT harness all installed and using the mx-3 fusebox which connects up to the starter and alternator. There is only 1 plug from the EGT harness which connects into the fuse box.

Here is a few of the plugs under the hood im not sure about:

I think the one im holding for the Air Conditioning control in which case no worries,
what is the two yellow female in the background though?:

Here is the speedo and another mystery plug:

And heres the ECU with the EGT harness. As you can see it plugged into the
black and two white connectors in the background:

But yeah I pop in the battery and nothing happens

No headlights horn or anything ...

Ive looked up the MX-3 and Protege wiring for the ECU

there are some discrepencies between the plugs X-03 X-04 and X-24
on the protege which mate to the mx-3 plugs X-04 X-05 X-06 respectivly

Here is the worklog on the mx-3 forum if your interested in what im up to:

Ive got the harness and fusebox from both the mx-3 and EGT .

Currently the MX-3 fusebox is installed with the EGT harness.

Thats as it is in the pics

im going to get those diagrams i promised you right now, I used my mx3 fusebox and starter harness. ill also go look and see if i can see the plugs that you have pictured, My swap we took out AC and PS, also didnt wire up reverse lights(but reverse lights should be a 2 wire plug, both wires should be green)
like i said im gonna go try to find the pictures we made showing the wiring
ill post it in an hour or so

that speedo plug you circled, is that from the tranny or the harness. i assume you put in a Gseries transmission, in which case the electric speedo cant be used, you will need to get a gauge cluster from an older model MX3 (they use mechanical speedos) and get the mechanical sensor (if you dont already have it) and cable

ok this is what i got from the under dash wiring
This is all BPT GTX stuff, so im not sure how similar the harness is

i hope this helps, i cant find the diagram saying exactly which wire will go where, but you can look at them and see.....like i said this is the plugs under the dash

I managed to find a protege LX ECU and complete wiring harness so im using that instead of the EGT.

Its just a regular BP engine for the time being.

            Here look:

My two main concerns are the coolant fan relay wire

and for whatever reason the turn signals will not work - is that a TNS relay?

The dash lights come on, I have headlights, car cranks etc..

              Using the protege harness

So here is what ive come up with:

              Some problems with it thusfar:

None of the interior lights work (fuses and relays are all good)

Two red engine lights and the yellow check engine light come
on when ignition is set to on

Sometimes relays go insane when ignition turned to on (fuel pump
and main relay/main INJ relay/same thing)

When ignition is turned off, the CD player resets and occasionally
the fuel pump relay clicks a few times.

Im getting rather frustrated at getting nowhere. Every time a new
idea comes up it just has no effect.

All engine grounds have been checked many times, fuses each with
a multimeter and the relays have all been switched out and back.

Problems have been solved . Running the BP in the
                MX-3 now.

Just a idle-stall issue when brakes are applied coming to a stop
                to deal with.

Mislabelled wires. Here is the proper splices to make:

Theres really not alot to change, just few wires.
That is for a 1st gen BP into 94 DOHC MX-3.

you have one of those for the other 2 other white plugs and the black plug for the mx-3 and all the plugs for the 90-94 Protege? Is the wiring the same for the 94-96 mx-3?
