What will happen if I removed the "support bars" Under my Hood?

I have a question I was thinkin what if i take the "support Bars" out from under my hood. My boy told me if i did it would take off wait and when i would hit the gas my engin will make the hood shake.... Should i do it or not.....

man, do not do it.....mine never had support bars, and oh my lord...when i put it in reverse, the hood bounces, when i am idling, the engine sounds about 3 times louder than it already is.... I actually am thinking about putting some support bars IN
believe me, the rattling is terrible, and the support bars should stay

dude, the "suports" are the whole structure of the hood. They are not dead weights. they are designed to keep the hood fairly rigid, and make sure the hood will "crumple/fold" properly in a accident
When you turn your car on... does it return the favor?

if you are hardcore about losing the lb's go for it dood!! Get somne hood pins if you are concerned with the hood flopping too much. they might weigh .5 lbs so you wouldn't be adding much.
