MS2 drops the RPM signal... wtf?!

Well it seems that I have a glitch in my MS2... might need some additional wiring, resistors, capacitors... something. I'm running the latest code, 2.886.

What happens is that it drops the rpm signal, at random locations on the rpm scale... after doing more testing it happens more often when I apply a load to it.

If I keep the vacuum over 10in/lbs it's alright... but anything from 10 to 0, it'll drop the rpm signal and buck the car when it comes back. Quite scary...

hmmmm... it could be noise on the lines. Does the RPM drop all the way to 0 for just one sample in your logs?

what kind of injectors are you running?

i had all kinds of crazy rpm signal problems with my low impedance injectors. switched to high impedance and it runs perfectly. if you have lo-z injectors look up "flyback voltage spikes"
