    diff lock motor

can i simply swap this thing from the 4wd tranny to my new 1.8 gtx tranny, or do i have to take both trannies apart and swap the actuator shaft as well?

haha. There's a thread about this already. But anyways.
The shaft is the same, you can pull it off and move it over. the GTX is missing a bracket the 4WD has. But why? the VLSD works wonders (according to those who use it), and locking it is as simple as pulling the shaft with your hand; I did so while I had the GTR box on the garage floor. Took very little effort. I can only think of 2 or 3 times in the past that locked would be better than a VLSD, mostly rock crawling type activities.
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

      lol, sorry.

jeff gave me the old motor and shaft from his BF gtx tranny, and the shaft is threaded like a worm gear... i know the shaft on the BG gtx tranny is not, thats why i ask.

i figure if it doesnt cost me anything i might as well retain this feature, just in case i ever need it. example... when jeff blew up the center diff in his gtx he was able to lock it and limp it home in fwd.
