    bp wagon in progress

    ive had my car for 7 years, 6 months months ago i did a bp swap riped out the 1.9 and re started with a dohc for a change so far a did the bp swap ,mx-3 center console ,aluminum gauge bezel, msd blaster 2, rx7 vaf 2.5 custom intake,2.5 exuast ,50mm sohc 323 t/b (more torque), 14deg timing advance ,
    pacesetter header going on in two weeks i need to go to smog check first,removed all ac components, removeed power steering,cross drilled and sloted rotors,autometer gauges,polished in and ex ports . etc heres some pics

      looks good man.

      just a side not, the BP throttle body is 50mm, i think the 323 1.6 is around 40mm.

        na i miced them on the inside and out the dohc was 55 and the sohc was 50
        strange but i zeroed my new oem mic and thats what they were .
        thanks for the comments im going to rebuild it with some hot cams 10.5 commpression pistons a full port and polish 3 angle on the valves balence it and a lightend flywheel with a stage 2 clucth and see how that fits the budjet
        oh ya under drive pulleys and ajustable cam gears . i need to reserch what lb injectors come stock on the bp because ill need to go a few lbs more on the injectors i think . thats about it i dont want to turbo it yet ill wait till my kids get a little older .

          did some fab work last night installed mx3 center console and alumnium gauge bezel and painted ratiator brackets and fuse cover .

                Man, you done just about everything i want to do except i've done it on jacks

                Great Job...i'll be in touch with some questions soon as the rear end is back in the car... just don't have the time becasue of work...

                  ya i do one BIG project at a time so i did the swap i got the headers on holy it made a big differnce but i cant keep the paint from peeling i geuss i got to go an get some 1400 or 1500 deg .
                  but im just low on funds an kinda in bettween jobs i geuss u could say the economy has made it tough my wifes gonna kill me when she shes the bill on this one but it was so worth it i got the engine and turbo for cheap so
                  if i can get the rear disc swap for like 100 bucks at the junk yard then ill do that first ill need good brakes to slow down the turbo goodness .lol

                      That would have also worked on the 97 and up Escorts with their ever-so-slight differences, right?

                        um not the motor swap on a 97 and up ur best bet is the zetec from the zx2

                          damn good show travis u have me drooling over here and yea i got the turbo timer and the bov and pipe all packaged up whenever ur ready bud sheesh once everythings done i want to see it bud and i know exactly whut u mean when u say inbetween jobs

                            if you're going to stay N/A use a B8 crank. it's way lighter so it will rev faster. but it's not good for boost. sweet wagon btw. i was thinking about doing that for a while

                              what style/brand of blow off valve are you going with? if you're looking for something low-key use a DSM piece. sounds great, but not ricey loud.
