I have a non usdm tranny!!!! to be quite honest i feel stupid saying this but really i never devoted any time to figuring it out as i had a crapload of other stuff to do. ever since i got the car the center diff lock didnt work, i just flashed... well now i just saw my first picture of the usdm vs the jdm (thanks steve on his 4wd buildup page in the photoforum). The reason why I could never find the motor is because it wasnt there! im wishing i put it up in the air to see if it would spin all the tires (too late now).
honestly when i got the car it had whiteline swaybars on it. Which gave jay a chuckle... but im pretty damn sure its 1 not the original and 2 its not usdm... i just dont understand why someone would ever remove the diff lock assembly, there is not really a need even if it didnt work.
i guess before i get too excited are there any other ways to tell usdm vs jdm? i understand gtx vs gtr is pretty hard (minus a front mount issue) but usdm vs jdm any suggestions?
