    GTR Swap Info???

I have been searching, and searching. I am very interested in swapping my b6-de for the gtr. I am planning on doing the swap with me and my bro. I need to know what i need to change and rewire. I have a 1994 mx-3 4 cly. 1.6 liter DOHC. I also want to change out the tranny to the protege tranny and get the LSD. I can tell you what i have searched and you can let me know if i am right or not. I know with the protege tranny i have to get the axles and the tranny mount. I know that with the gtr i have to rewire the injector. and get the ecu with the engine when i get ready to order it. That is all I know on the swap. Please let me know anything and everything that i need to know about this swap. Thanks

Would be easier to get the ECU and wiring harness for GTR engine. Then just wire in the gauges and what not for the fuel regulator and dash. Thats what I did for the GTX swap. Then there is no hacking of of fuel injector harness and it should plug into the fuse box.

Somebody else from Salt Lake? Wow. Make sure you get the resistor box for the injectors. Where are you planning on picking up a GTR engine?

yeah finding a gtr engine is half the battle

really you're better off going with a standalone and 550cc injectors, if its within your means/budget

I have been looking at a couple of JDM websites for the GTR engine. "That's Right" I from Salt Lake ****ty hehe Love it here. I know that it is very hard to get one that is why I want it so bad. Rare find. So would that be the only thing that i would need to do either rewire the injectors, and a couple of sensors, or get the whole GTR harness and run that? How hard was it to wire in the dash with the new harness? Anything that was crazy a long the way of the swap.?

You can rewire anything if you know how to read a wiring diagram.

It's a resistor box. It plugs into the GTR harness. The GTR injectors are low-imp and would fry if you don't have the injector box wired in.
OR, if you can find a set of rx-7 high imp 460cc injectors, you can use those. They're direct plug and play and are the same size as the GTR injectors. They're from a series 5 N/A rx7. That's what I did.

When you say you want "the LSD" which LSD are you refering to? I didnt mean for it to sound like I was dogging on Salt Lake, it's just where Im from and there arent many members around thats all.
