Thank god for the worklog section. Its cars like this that make it all worth while.
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

How much of a PITA is it to use the Autometer speedo?

I've wanted to build a custom cluster for a while now and that's been the only thing holding me back...

not at all, just need to get the correct electrical sending unit and then plug it in ....works great, and can be adjusted for different sized wheels or whatever

most BG's use an analog unit for the speedo. care to elaborate on your setup?

yes, this is true....you take the cable drive out of the trans.....and keep the housing that holds the speedo drive gear...you need it to make the new one sit flush...i beleive the automoter part number is 5292 for the sender that u need for the speedo, you'll have to dremel the old housing out a little and put the new autometer hall effect speedometer sender into this peice of aluminum....because there would be a bigger gap and trans fluid would come out if u didnt...u transfer the gear to the hall effect sender and put some gasket sealant between the 2 peices of aluminum and then bolt it where the cable driven sender used to be.....theres like 3 wires from the new sender ones a ground, ones a signal, and the other is power I believe.....very simple to hook it up to the gauge......and thats it.....it even has a plug for the cruise control if u have that...

its a hybrid t3/vj20 dual ballbearing oil/watercooled that corksport makes, the original vj20 hotside is bored out to fit a bigger wheel, and a bigger coldside t3 wheel also, and compressor housing/inlet... the inlet is 2.5 inches it might be big enough...we'll see....the advantages to this turbo are its streetmanners ...its spooling at 2300rpms, and wont lose anything up top....supposed to be good up to 400 whp or so....we'll see
