    FE3 vs KLDE

Ok here's the deal. I love my boosted BP but I feel like I should have something different(always felt this way) so I started this thread to find out some things.

1] Which swap would be better off in the long run?

2] Which swap would be better for boost(yes I have felt the dackside and the swap will get it once funds are there)

3] Which swap would have better access to parts(performance and normal mainainence)

4] Which swap would be less of a pain in the ass?

I know there's more questions but lets get the ball rolling on these first.

I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

i am also thinking of doing this as the protege will become my winter ride im going to pull it apart next summer to see if the frame is out of wack because for some reason even with 4 new mounts the engine has some kind of twisting efect going on

FE3 is a near bolt in IF**** your using the NA G series 2.2L transmission.

it only requires a bunch of custom mounts if your trying to put the H transmission in.

that KL could be easier. but is alot less boost friendly stock for stock

You haven't even turned up the boost yet fool! I vote larger turbo on bp, and more boost before you go for the v6 route.

the KL will take 10+ psi stock and make 350-400hp on a stock bottom rnd, its not that far off

but i agree bigger turbo first

yeah, the KL rods look very similar to stock BP rods as far as design/strength. the thing is... you have 2 extra cyls. so while its generally accepted that 250whp is about the max you can run reliably on stock BP stuff... add 50% to that for a fairly reliable 375whp =o. just dont rev it too high, the oil pumps like to fail.
