escort brakes

just picked up a 91 escort 2 door 5 speed and after i got it started tryed to move it and the left rear tire is froze mt question, is the ebrake on these one wheel or two wheel but i dont know if its the ebrake cause wile it was sitting in the lot it was in neutral with the ebrake off so im up for any suggestions

the handbrake should operate both rear brakes. drum or disc in the rear?
both LOVE to lock up from sitting... time to pull them apart and replace the rusty/frozen up parts.

right now i need to get it freed up the lot its sitting in is owned by a shop and the lady it belonged to lost her license and they towed it there like three years ago they called her last week and said if you dont get it by this thursday you owe us lot rent for three years so she told me if i want it for free get it by thursday so im headed down after work tomarow to free them up is there anything else i should know about these cars

is it a gt? my e-brake used to freeze up in the winter when i had bad e-brake cables. but when the cables were bad you could tell just by pulling the handle because it was loose.

if worse comes to worse you could always just borrow a trailor or rent a tow dolley and tow it out.

if it helps it has the 1.9l in it and 13 inch steel wheels a tape deck and no power options i dont think its a gt but i could be wrong im new to fords so i dont know how their options coinside with the model

That's an LX or Pony... rear drums.

yep the drums like to freeze up especially bad.. you may need to take the drums off to get them freed up

just got done doin that looked like the shoes were rusted to the drum so it moves now but i think the calipers are froze in place cause that one brake i freed up seemed to be the only one that stoped me and its an LX model
