    the mazda project

    hello my fellow club friends. i have bin working on some things behind the sines.
    i am attempting to build the first 10sec 4cyl mazda 323 in the usa.
    i will be working with creative performances and some good friends to make this possible. i will like to make this a part of history. the first mazda 4cyl to brake into the 10sec in the usa! i will be posting my build as i go along so you guys can keep track of my progress and lend a hand with it also. this packages came yesterday from Puerto Rico.

              deadly this is a bp engine build. i will be taking the manifold to be ceramic coated. i also have to make senses of the engine harness. this is the haltech system that was on the dejavu in pr.

                From playing with Halwin, tuning shouldn't be too horrible- the DOS software is a ****ing kludge and makes me wish I had never bought the E6K.

                  no stock rad. for this one, what are you going to use?
                  also the head flange on the turbo manny looks warped.

                    you are going o need to go with a custom radiator, or put this setup in an mx3 to have things clear.


                    ALSO
                    , that manifold will not fit on the BP. It's designed for the FS 2.0 motor in the 3rd gen proteges. Just to let you know, so you don't freak out when you go to bolt it up and it doesn't fit.

                      warpage at its best! hopefully that's the camera angle... will this set up have a turbo back exhaust? seems like no room for a down/side pipe. Well good luck!

                        naah i will use a honda civic radiator! this car will be for track use only and occational meets.
                        the camara makes it look funny lol. do you think a flange that warped would ever bolt up.
                        the down pipe looks to be a tight fit because the gt30-40 has a patruting v-band flange. i will be cutting back the flange to make room for the down pipe. no fears!

                          why in gods name would you cut back the vband flange?

                          just buy another exhaust housing with a flat flange...

                            deadly sleeper the manifold i have at home is a custom manifold design for a bp swap 323. this was a special manifold i had made that later became a product offerd by creative. the only setup i have from the dejavu is the engine harness 2x msd box's and haltech stand alone ecu.

                            no worries jon. i will cut the flange back because this is a much easier fix. i am not getting rid of the vband! i am just bringing the vband flange closer to the turbo. i can also control the angel of the flange if i need a slight tilt. remember a bp in a 323 only gives you so much room for a long style manifold since the engine has a slight tilt foward.

                              yeah but ... how are you planning to cut and weld on that cast housing without it cracking? that thing gets like WHITE hot
