    2002 protege ES

    i first bought the car after driving a friends lx. i loved the car then i found my present car.i don't have pics of every part or every install but here is what i found on my comp today! i put a 2.5" custom exhaust on, i bent and welded it. it consist's of a after i bought the car i pnew cat, dynomax chambered muffler, and a ractive tip with a dumb carbon fiber strip around it, but it was what i had at the shop i was working at. then the car got a ram air intake that i later converted to full cold air, and a obx header was installed. i also put the jdm mazdaspeed cams in that i got off mazda3online.com, i put the a pillar pod in after that, the gauges are cheap ones, oil pressure and a vac gauge, the vac is only because soon the car will be boosted and that is a easy swap, cause the wiring is already their. then tein s-tech springs, b&m shifter, awr 95 durameter front and rear mounts were installed, the car also has a exedy clutch, fidenza flywheel and a revised torsen limited slip. the rims are painted gloss black and after i aquire a 2nd set will be sand blasted then pouder coated.

    future plans are. i have a td04 turbo for the car, getting a top mount exhaust manifold, a 28x5.5x2.5 front mount with 2.5" piping and a rs blow off valve, aem uego wideband, with rising rate fuel pressure regulator. msp ecu eventually to controll spark and fuel. after a long time full stand alone fuel timing. then all the other misc crap for the turbo kit. i will be doing more mods later but to list every thing that i will do eventually would take forever. hurray for the never ending project.

          nice project. i have a 2002 protege too but with the 1.6 its my daily driver. got tokico strut with mazdaspeed spring and a b&m short shifter. fun little car to drive and dirt cheap on fuel too.

            how do you have a 1.6l in 2002?

              its a Canadian model that probably why its the base model. no ac no power window and no door lock

                Im guessing you got a deal on the Subaru turbo? Not that the turbos are junk, i just have a strong hate for those triangular looking flanges.Car looks nice

                  turbo only had 3k on it and it was free. Thos flanges do suck, but it is a good reliable turbo, fith a fast spool time. The turbo came of my buddies car, he put a s16g on and didn't need this anymore.

                    yeah the turbos are decent, but i never bothered with them because its not as easily found as a T3 flange when your making a manifold.

                      That would be awesome if you made some tutorials for some or those mods. I want put in an intake for it. but I can't seem to find any tutorials specific to my model. any help would be much appreciated.
