[The O2 clamp interrupts the OEM oxygen sensor signal to the ECU and substitutes a lean signal during closed loop operation which keeps the ECU from reducing the duty cycle on the injectors. This stops the ECU from reducing the amount of fuel added by other means(like pressure or larger injectors). Primarily to eliminate the phenomena of "Lean Tip-In"]
