    93 Pro's Worklog

92_2_Fast (Matt) originally built this car for his brother. It had a T3 on an NA BP with a GTR ECU. After his brother got the car it ran good for about a week then he blew the turbo up and Matt wasn’t around to fix it for him. After about a year of having a car that didn’t work right Matt's brother got sick of the Protege and sold it to me. I was in my Jr. year of high school and I wanted a project. I started by taking off the blown T3 and the other goodies to support it and just went back to a basic GTX setup and threw in a new clutch. After about 3000 miles I got bored again and decided it was time for an engine rebuild. The rebuilt engine currently has 4500 miles on it and runs great! Corrective criticism and suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks! It runs superb. 5000 on the rebuild, it gets better MPG than my old NA LX and it's always fun to have a boosted daily driver.

I guess you changed your mind about painted black and flipped it...

Regardless of the looks, to me the shinny grill is superb, dig both fog lights; center and bumper ones...

Thanks for sharing your project and good pictures.

By the way, how did you do the bumper grills?

Car looks good. Loving the nice white paint job. You should get a better intake manifold. I have a GTX intake manifold if you want. PM me if interested.

I've decided that my car is a girl, she's picky as hell, won't listen to me, always wants to fight me, and when i give her presents it's never good enough and she always wants more.
