3rd Gen. protege KL-ZE swap help

    hey,

i have a 02 protege 2.0, i would like to kno in detail(if anyone knows) how much work it is to swap a KLZE in my car??

I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

no, unless u move the battery to the trunk. then it might fit. your best off with a curve neck. also depens where u are, but emissions is something u should be thinking about. since our cars are obd2 and a kl-ze from japan are only obd1. You may have issues getting it e-tested. I dont know if u can make the kl-ze work with obd2 since it doesnt have the same emissions equipment.

i im prob only going to do it if my drivetrain craps out cuz im at 250,000 kms on the stock clutch

do you US people get the 2001+ 626 with a KL in it?
they might have the odb2 option?
we got them in a wagon form, and most where auto's, ive not yet checked the computers out if they are odb2

any 96+ KL is odb2. and there are a bunch of cars that came with them here in the states. probe, mx6, 626, or millenia

curved neck mani will be your best option. otherwise you probably will have issues with your brake master cyl.

Grab a KLG4 manifold off a 98 plus millenia, it is the best one out there for all around performance.

Id use the milly if u have square port heads. And a klg4 if u have oval ports. Just so it flows correctly. Run the manifold that match's ur heads.
