    Gtr swap

First of all,i have lack of skill with languege but i try to write something down here..
I bought gtr's front cut from Netherlands and it's now all in pieces, ready to get assembled.
    Story so far:
I started with 4wd sohc a year ago.Plan was to drive through winter and meantime rebuild the na dohc motor. We had a lousy winter here,so i took the car early into the garage and took it apart.

There was excessive play in the transfer carrier and i started by disassebling the tranny.I changed the synchros, bearings and replaced the ruined transfer carrier. After that and motor finished,i lifted them in :

I started breaking in the motor. It fired right up ok but before test drive i found out that i cannot find neutral.I messed something in the tranny and some gear was jamming.Took the 5th/reverse apart but the problem wasn't there.
Before i managed to drop the tranny, the gtr's front cut arrived.
I'm gonna fix that tranny later and put it with that na dohc to another project some day..

Ok,gtr's pieces are all over.I'm not gonna do anything extra for them now because it's getting icy here and i need to get that car on the road.
I took the ac compressor off and changed the fluids, that's about it.

I'll start with harness and problem no.1 is that i need to extend the engine harness because it's from rhd.I haven't yet get into it much but i think i get it running properly by just swapping the engine harness.(?)
Gtr's steering should be quicker so i'm gonna disassemby the rack and see if i can swap the internals( pinion??)with my current one.

the hubs/front brakes will be a good swap too
just push out the 5 stud and drop the 4 stud in there, get some MX5 NB8 slotted rotors, sorted!

            Thanks for the advice.
Brakes looked good but for now i'm gonna use my current setup:
            Serviced stock gt's:

            + K-sport and ss hoses.

Motor is in.I temporary installed ecu and ic to crank it.I'm missing fuel, just what i expected. There's differences between wiring plugs and colors because of fuel pump resistor.I may need to by pass it.Thanks for instructions bpt323 http://www.wihandyman.com/forum/show...61&postcount=3.

Got it running today.Wired the fuel pump directly from battery...It seems to run fine, although a small air leak somewhere near intake manny.Maybe a testdrive tomorrow.

I took a test drive and it pulled great.Boost spiked 1.15 because exhaust was "free flow".After i joined the stock exhaust in,it dropped to 0.5
Next i'm going to install wideband and finish every mess that's left from fast installation.2.5" exhaust, fmic later.

Wires give me headache.Connectors and colors are different with my fsm.I'm using -92 gtr european lhd.I'll get the job done but it sure takes some time

Finished messing with wires at last.
Installed plx wideband, walbro 255 and boost gauge.Fuelpump is still switch operated and i think it'll stay that way.Still need to check that the transferpump is working proberly.

There's something wrong with the steering.I think it's right side front wheel that's playing around.I've chacked that the tierods are ok.
Seems like there's play in the rack itself or something
                            Pics follow.

I couldn't use a-pilar for gauges because of roll gage.Doesn't really matter as long as i have a co-driver sitting and reading...
I made a flange for downpipe and next i'm going to fab the 2.5" exhaust.

The steering is a mystery.Steering wheel feels light in the middle and gets heavier when turning either direction.I've made sure that there's no backlash anywhere.I've bleeded ps several times, running and not running.Still some bubbles appear once in a while.Haven't found any leak either.

Knuckles are from 2wd and i made extensions to tierods that i could adjust the alignment right.Could this cause the symptoms?
4wd rack and 2wd knuckles but wheel alignment is right
