I am almost positive that after the Mazdaspeed Miata, there will not be any more Mazdaspeed editions.

the mazdaspeed sector of the company isn't exactly a huge cash cow. remember only about %5 of car owners even think about tuning their cars.
When you turn your car on... does it return the favor?

So is the best way to define mazdaspeed as a trd type company?

This is only partly tru...Mazda only began acknowledging Mazdaspeed at last years Tokyo Auto Show. Mazdaspeed has always been independent of Mazda, unlike TRD which has always been a division of Toyota or Nissan with Nismo.

That's why we don't have any damn parts.

I remeber calling a company one time to find out if they made parts and they said NO, buy a HONDA and then call us back ... hhahaha..

with exception for the RX7, mazda has not been able to produce a highly tunable car, even the miata has it's limitations because thy are light weight already, however i think that the reason why there's not much aftermarket for mazda could be because they share platforms and certain engines with ford and these engines are already high compression i think this is why,

go ahead and correct if im wrong,

Less than 10:1 isn't really "high compression." These engines don't require higher than 87 octane gasoline.

I'd love to see that AWD version of the Mazda3

I'm not sure if the guy at the dealership knew what he was talking about, but as a matter of fact, the MX-5 mazdaspeed (or miata for those of you who don't know...) is to be the last of the speeds...

                            sucks.
the 3 is way nicer than the pro... ah well, will have to mod it the sleeper way... that is, the best way...
