I figured id go ahead and make a worklog since i dont update the one on mx-3.com anymore
As you may or may not know i have a 95' mx-3 BPT swap about 2 years ago, 3rd turbo setup, 2nd tranny, and still slow
Lex's MegaSquirtII showed up last week and started messing with that, really haven't done much yet, still trying to read more on it and just understand it better. before on the rx7 MAF i could never get a good idle out of it, now with the map and MS the idle adjusting screw on the throttle body actually makes a difference! it idles perfect at ~900rpms, any lower and it has a tendency to drop too low after a high rev. Before i was comfortable enough to really get on it my buddy decided he wanted his boost controller back, on 8psi it spools fast but has some studdering or hesitation up top.
basically im not comfortable to drive the car daily and im only allowed 1 car at my apartment so i can only mess with it on weekends when i travel back to Durham
buddy snapped some new pics this weekend, for some reason he didnt upload any of MS or under the hood
buddys setup (im sitting in the background staring at who knows what)
going with a bigger exhaust side before its running, his FMIC is ridiculous "RevHard" 4"thick, off to go get drivers side end tank cut and rewelded for a back door setup(eliminates a good 3feet of intercooler piping)
its a 4door eg civic slammed on some gt3's...i know a honda on gt3's you never hear of that. but the fact that its a 4door makes it 10x cooler
