KL-ZE. 2nd gen. Noob. This is going to be fun!

    Hi everyone,

I've been lurking about for awhile now, just doing my research and searching, searching, searching... but unfortunately I've pretty much had to break down and make this post.

I just purchased a 2nd gen Protege, '96 actually. The very first thing I'm looking to do is swap. Now as I said, I've done some homework so far. This is my 5th sport compact project car in the last 9 years, so I'm not a *total* noob.

GTX swap seems the most realistic, so fine, all sorts of info about that... But what I really had my heart set on is KL-ZE. Let's be honest... The sound alone almost makes the deal, and at 200/180, it should give an H-swapped EG civic some tight competition, so it's definitely not slow.

From what I've been able to deduce sofar, nobody here has attempted this yet? I read that the 323F is either based off, or similar to, the BH chassis? Can *anyone* offer any concrete info on this potential swap?

(Before anyone beats me with a stick, I know that the 2nd gen is Mazda's bastard child and I know that it has a tiny engine bay.)

I'm doing my research on the GTX swap as we speak, but I want to pretty much exhaust my resources before I give up on the KL-ZE idea. I'm sure that there are plenty of folks on here who would love to see it done, so all pertinent info. is appreciated.
