    valve cover breather

is there something i have to do if i remove the tube going from the valve cover to the intake hose after the maf besides putting a breather filter on the valve cover? is that confusing is everyone thinking the obvious answer because i have done this before and my car makes a sound that makes me put the hose back out of fear of something bad happening.

Nothing other than removing the hose and replacing it with a filter. Don't forget to plug the hole in the intake bellows. Without the hose you're probably just hearing more valve train noise or the air going through the baffles inside the valve cover. I ran a filter without any adverse effects for several years but ultimately replaced the hose.

Any real benefit to this? Would having a intake fo the same thing since the valve cover has the line connected to the stock intake piping
