    Tracer Idle problems

Hi i got a mercury tracer that idles like crap i know the idle screw was messed with but with the ten conector grounded it was set to 750 however seems the computer takes over and puts it at 900 to 1000 alot, ive changed the plugs and fuel filter also i put a junkyard VANE AIR FLOW meter on it from a 91GT. i was just wondering if there was anything else i should be looking at i know i should probably check the compression but at say 1500 rpm or so its really smooth.

I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.
