    fried ecu

I just got my Bpt setup all together and went to start it with my bp26 ecu but it wouldnt fire, so i put in my stock protege ecu and it fired up. I dont know what my best choice would be, get a new gtx ecu, or maybe a safc?If i got a safc could i tune it myself or not? Let me know what u think the best think to do would be

its a cheaper alternative & better in the long run if you ask me..... short of going megasquirt @ least.

any and all piggybacks are worthless especially for obd1. either get a gtx ecu or go megasquirt....

the only time i see using a piggyback as a good idea is if you need to retain obd2 for emissions and theres no way to tune your stock ecu.

The only reason you would want to use a SAFC is if you are running larger injectors with a larger turbo, otherwise its not needed for a stock tune.

And crack open your gtx ecu and see if there are any noticable burn marks or a burn smell. Then if not take some good close up pictures of the circuit board and maybe one of us can spot a problem.

And id rather use the bp10 ecu vs the gtx cause it has no fuel cut at 14psi. You will have to set the timing differently cause the NA ecu runs more advanced timing than the gtx.
