I would highly recommend EBC Greenstuff pads. Greatly improved braking for not too much more than crap replacements from Auto Zone. Quiet (if you bed them in properly), very low dust, better initial bite, better fade resistance, and they're green!! Google EBC, you can find many distributors. Also, for rotors, I went to Tire Rack and got Brembo replacement blank rotors. I recommend those as well. Again, better quality all around for not much more than stock.1995 626: daily beater, mostly stock. Future NASA racer?

i wouldnt bother buying nice pads for the small brakes.
the 10" brakes with autozone pads will probably outstop the 9" brakes with warmed up full race compound pads.
15 bucks shipped if you want some cheapies, i can get a pic for you if you'd like.Escort GTR -- 11.87 @ 117.6 mph -- 320 HP / 325 Ft. Lbs. @ 23 PSI

I would bother putting better pads on, since it's the pad/rotor compound that makes the difference in braking ability. An extra inch of rotor diameter will slightly increase the swept area, which will probably help a little bit with stopping, and also slightly increase the resistance to heat buildup, but you'll notice a better set of pads quite a bit more. I have on my Protege, and I did also on my old 323.1995 626: daily beater, mostly stock. Future NASA racer?

ok so if i wanted to replace the rotors for my dx-how large could i go for a 13 inch wheel? i ask because my snow tires are on 13 inch steelies....
by the way rieldeal, i am redoing the suspension and getting new wheels and tires in the spring-would the stock brake pads stand up to the abuse if i wanted to go auto-xing?(which im planning to do)Originally posted by Kitty3 tears probably wont be that visible when installed greatly asseverated by me fingering them in the picsOriginally posted by almighty4wd.......Dude. imo the 9" brakes are way too small, if you're going for performance i wouldnt stick with them at all.
brembo rotors are probably close in quality to OE, i'm assuming the "OEM" your talking about is parts store made in china stuff.Escort GTR -- 11.87 @ 117.6 mph -- 320 HP / 325 Ft. Lbs. @ 23 PSI
