94 BG to KLDE to TURBO

I am doing a KLDE swap into my 94 BG before I leave for basic and after I get back from basic I'm gonna be turbo'ing it. I just purchased my first piece for the swap, a KLDE from tigerjapanese.com. It'll be coming in tomorrow so I'll take some pictures tomorrow and post them.

sweet deal, hope the swap goes good for you.Are you buying the ebay turbo pipes or making custom pipes? When i was going turbo, i decided on custom pipes, since the engine bay is crammed as it sits, a turbo kit is only going to make the underhood temps insanely warm.

just curious how much they charged you for a KLDE? Are you sure you didnt pick up a KLZE? Ive never heard of an importer having usdm motors, but i could be wrong.Either way, id prefer a DE due to the fact of a stronger valve train and no worries if you blow a timing belt.

550 + shipping. It comes with 25 to 35 thousand miles on it. They sell both klde and klze. They even sell BP and BPT.

If I had a miata I'd get that bp with 6 speed tranny.

My motor has arrived I'm gonna head over and snap some pictures.

Thats not a true ZE. that is going to have the american spec cams in it. thats a millenia. there were some other countries that used that also, but its not a ZE thats a KL-G4 by the looks of it. does it have a EGR? if so thats def a american spec motor out of a millenia.

what are the code's on the head, and pull the valve cover and see what the stampings on the cam's are.

either way, that swap will be more then badass!

nope, not a KLG4.Like you said, its just a plain milennia motor like I had.Dont get discouraged, its still better than a basic KLDE.It has the ZE heads, DE valvetrain, curved neck itake, and a small bump in compression.IIRC, its makes 172hp, and you get some features of a ZE without the worries of dropping a valve.

I never said it was a ZE. I think it came from a 626 atleast thats what it said on the shipping receipt.
