if it cant getting worse !!!

well finally decided it was time to put the progressive springs and sr struts on the 92 egt. After 400 bucks for install and a 4 wheel alignment. back the car out of the stall it was parked in make it to the entrance to traffic. wait wait wait go finally start to pull out and WTF car wont move goes into ALL gears you can hear the trans working internally and you can watch the speedo working yet the car GOES NO WHERE!!!. and of course the asshOles and I DO MEAN ASSH0LES at Kal tire wont DO ANYTHING to fix the problem cause they said it wasnt us YET THE GD car drove in there so towed the G.D. POS back to my work (also were it parks cause its a project not a daily)

now that the story is told

WTF could it be??? and before you say it THE CLUTCH IS WORKING!!!! my guess is (and god i hope its that easy) that when they did the struts it pulled the cv joint out to far and was cock eyed when it went back together and it stripped the teeth off the inner part of the cv axle. maybe who knows but has ANYONE ever ran across this kind of WTF after doing springs and struts?

No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

I agree with him I've dropped a few spider gears before it'll go into gear but won't move.....and they could have took you car out and ran the piss out of it..I used to work at a garage where I seen some of the techs do that.and when it pukes the spider gears out it usually does it all at once.

but spider gears, wouldnt they stay in place once the cv joint was in place and holding cause the car was DRIVEN after it was done. it was backed out of the shop and then road tested, then we backed it out of the parking stall made it 1/4 block to pull into traffic and thats when the damn thing wouldnt go.

Unfortunately, the problem with that is if they decide they don't want to take responsibility, we have absolutely nothing to prove that they did anything wrong. It would be word vs. word, ours against theirs.

the diffs are open diffs and if you pull out spinning alot it puts a bind on the spider gears and could either eat the teeth off of the gears or cause the diff to eventually puke the spider gears out into the trans and if your lucky it won't through them out of the case....what I'm sayin is if they test drove it and you had some noticeable performance mods done to it they might have took the car for a test drive and gutted the **** out of it..........then when you drove it the gears dropped or stripped like I said it happens all at once....drain the trans fluid and see if it silver...for no reason should you have to take the axles out of the car to change the struts... you can but its more time consuming. here's a pic of my zx2's diff

                          So broken Axle?

90% of the time when you see the speedo move and the car doesn't move its because you broke an axle..

A diff will make a lot of noise before you blow it up.. or a lot of noise after you blow it up..

Good job responding to someone making fun of you for dropping 400 on a car worth that much and having the shop break it. Makes you look very intelligent.
