    good bit of info
    I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

      i hate to say it, but i really wish this stuff was put more into lamens terms.. i still don't understand the octane thing...

        It's just a number. I wouldn't get too concerned about exactly how it is calculated. What it represents is a fuel's resistance to knock or preignition. The higher the number, the more knock resistant the fuel is.

            Iv only used the Lucas stuff, and it really is great stuff. I wouldnt touch anything else.

                octane numbers determine, how much of an ignition of the fuel happens. higher numbers a longer ,fuller combustions, and lower are faster burning combustions..... basically the higher octane needs more compression, or needs to be compressed more to fire.... figure the higher the number the more of a burn, and push of the full stroke happens instead of just firing for a millisecond when the pistons still at the top...
