needing a lil help with the wiring harnes

can anyone tell me the proper name for whats supposed to be plugged into the plug on the wiring harness of an EGT right next to the ignition control module?
there's 4 plugs one for the ignition coil, one for the VAF, one for the ignition control module, and one other i'm not sure of...one guy called it the "condenser" but according to autozone no such part exists for the escort or anthin really thats fuel injected.
its a little two wire plug (if that helps).

i'm not sure if it bolts right under the coil...i did a swap into an mx3 and i'm kinda having to bolt stuff up on my own and putting them wherever they will fit.
i dont have any pics of it cause i dont have the part....thats what i'm needing...i can get a pic of the plug tho if that would help..?

Looking in the manual for a Protege (BP), there is a condenser that has a 2-pin connector with black/orange and blue wires. Might not be the same as on an Escort though.

If you can't differentiate between brake and break, you should go back to school

it is a capacitor indeed and it bolts right besides the coil. All proteges and 323 have it. you might be able to get away without it, I think it's there just to smooth out the primary coil supply.

sweet, i'll try it...does anyone know if the ignition coil module has to be bolted down so that the back (all metal) is grounded?

Grounding it is not part of the circuit so theoretically, it should work but it's always best practice to ground all electrical components in case of a fault. So you should ground it. You don't have the original coil bracket?

i have the coil bracket, i have that grounded but i mean the ignition control module has a metal backing on it, which makes me think it should be grounded. i guess all i can do is try and see what it does.

                              how'd it go?
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.
