Do all AWD models have the split gas tank with a transfer pump and a high pressure pump like the GTR?

the person i got it from had it worked in inline in the engine bay... Now i'm just not sure what to do? putting it in-line in the bay seems pointless as it's just adding another pump right? wouldn't i want to remove the driver side fuel pump and replace it with the 255..?

            get what i'm saying...?

yeah... the math in my head would point to just replacing the driver pump... the transfer pump is not a big deal as you would deserve to burn up your pump if you were so low you needed the full flow of the transfer pump to keep your pump in the fuel.

on a slightly side note, what information does the transfer pump use to turn on... does it just have a cycle it runs through, or is it told to run at a given fuel level in the primary side of the tank. Im just curious with my lx interior harness swap I am forseeing issues with the transfer pump. seems i may end up splicinging my 4wd and lx harnesses together.
