    40psi explaination/mazdaGTR motor etc 2

    trailrider098:
Sorry, but r u retarted? ,Y would you convert a 1.8L BP engine to a 1.7L by sleeving a already cast iron block???? where do u expect to get pistons for this and what do u think u are gonna achieve by doing this?***************
well the reason i have the block is because its got some pitting in the side wall in order to use it id have to sleeve it,

running 40psi isnt a walk in the park the stresses of doing that will be so massive the block wall will just get glowingly red hot, however metal expands when heated so sleeving creates a "safeguard" as you may say against the engine self imploding, also the lighter the bottom end is the higher the car can rev being 1700cc you save some weight,

a fully custom mazda bp engine capeable of doing 11,000rpm launches at 40psi "priceless" finding a box to support that "expensive

Sorry but I will give you props if you can get a BP to rev passed 8.5K RPMs. The head don't flow enough. If you want to impress us, sell your GTR engine to a USA buyer and build a FE3 because they can actually rev. That said I will stop flooding your thread with my thoughts

if you have pitting is due to bad tuning! in that case you dont sleeve you bore. thers bp motors putting out 450 to 500hp+ on 32psi with the stock bore size and block.

just my 2 cents: the fastes mazda 323 at the moment runs 32 to 35psi making over 750hp to the wheels. running a time of 9.3. what are you talking about the motor wont hold? oohh and that power plant does not rev even past 9k. the fastest mazda 4cyl in the world is a rwd mazda3 that blows anything out of the water that runs 7+!! guess what it still uses the mazda3 block.

im not going to say the stock material does not have limits but come on!
just a quick info for some that may not know that people do sleeve even cast iron blocks. but this is a rare practice only done when very corosive fuels are used.

Walk around the Team USA tent! See all the cars! Rosado Racing, Curian Racing, La Jessialis, Ken Sheepers, Brent Rau, Paradise Racing, Pimar, etc.

I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

I've seen someone bring a 427 down to a 383 with sleeves, mostly so he could run a big hit of juice on it and protect the motor, since the sleeves are cheaper to replace than the block. 'Course, this is also a motor that's making 700 to the wheels without the spray...

so u plan to shrink your engine size, yet increase your HP a whole lot and run your stock mazda AWD transmission?

sorry to break it to you, but unless u plan on having the engine sticking out the front of the car and cutting up the rad support its gonna have to be just RWD. you wouldnt be able to get the front axles to line up. ever notice how much longer the hood is on those cars? and if u do then plan on going RWD remember u will need to cut a bigger hole in the firewall and still make a larger tunnel to cover the tranny, and then custom hang some kinda stronger differential cause u already know the mazda 6" rear will not hold 400hp all by its self

i apoligize if im ruining any of your plans, i have crazy stupid ideas too sometimes. if what u want is a high HP RWD mazda try a miata, they come stock RWD just add turbo
