    Turbo or NA Escort LXE

I want to make around 200hp. My LXE has a BP and im wondering if i shuld build a high comp NA or turbo it. But my dilemma is i dont relly know what i need to turbo it. If that is the way im going to go. So any help on what i need for parts and what not would relley help thank you.

    Do a search about turboing...

To get that 200 hp at the wheels you will either need a decently priced JDM turbo goodies kit, or a lot of $$ on NA building. For cost effectiveness I say turbo. For uniqueness I would say go NA, maybe get a flying miata 2.0L stroker kit.

Of course the uniqueness you already have with the LX-E, you don't see too many of those.

The 2.0 stroker will not get you to 200whp. Keith has it in his Targa Miata and the last dyno that I knew of, he only made 155ish whp.

and the 2.0 stroker is like 10x more money than a backyard turbo build...

pretty much the only way ur gunna make 200hp NA without spending a ton of money is one of the v6 swaps. Turbo is definitely easier tho.

yea the cost of importing a motor and everything else far exceeds what you can do with that amount of money to your n/a motor...

Thank you all for the help. My next question would be what electronics/fuel parts would i need to make it all work?

gtx injectors, gtx computer, and some simple changes to your stock wiring harness. with that you can bolt on a small turbo and make ~200 hp no problem.

Yea its almost impossible to squeeze 200whp out of a bp without alot of money. I say if you want a nice reliable 200whp go turbo.
