    Whats a 4wd worth?

Say a 4wd like mine..well maintained, runs fine. What are they worth? I have never seen one for sale besides mine..and I got it from some lady who had some idea, but not really.

well.... considering i bought mine for 2k.. it was.. i dont wanna say beaten neccassrily, but the engine leaked oil really bad. it's got minor rust. with a MS pro muffler.. and a few other random changes... even i'll admit i pay a lil much for it. But it's what i wanted. So ?I would pay that price. find the right person you can sell for anything.

i'd imagine 2k for a good running 4wd though. specially to bg enthusiasts

1500 is about as high as I'd go for a stocker. I mean if it's cherry I might go more than that, but I bet there aren't too many creampuff stock awd protege out there anymore.
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

Yeah I bought mine for $800.00 and most of you have seen what it was like when I got it, but I also spent $1500.00 to have it shipped to me so I really spent $2300.00 for it which was way to much, especially for mine, but it was the only one out there at the time and I really wanted one so I sucked it up and fixed it up. I think I would be lucky to get $4000.00 for it the way it sits. My other one was only $800.00 as well, but not nearly as rusty so it was a better buy, and if mine falls apart I'll have a clean chassis to build on or put my parts on.
If it's really clean, (minimal to no rust) and runs, I don't think $1500.00 is that bad of a price, but it will take someone who knows what it is and what can be done to it to pay more.
            My 2 cents

you must be a damn fool to pay a cent more than 1500 for one... oh wait

I paid 1600 for mine, and it was pretty much for the same reason jason spent 2300 on his. First off I had the money and was willing to spend it on the right car, and 2nd I knew what I wanted and I paid the premium for it. Lastly I did it because I appreciated jay holding out for me for a month and before I got home from alaska and giving up a good shell when he has 2 and ever reason to keep a backup shell.

My shell is in pretty good shape, its like the rust only made it to a couple places, alot of surface rust... Pretty good shape, hopefully one day I will do something with it

I'll sell mine for $1500, only because that's what I'd get for the major parts if parted. I'd hate to part it.
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

Yeah Im thinking thats what I could get out of mine..its all origanl with just a few tateful mods. Rebuilt the stock motor. Paint is great, inside is clean. The best part though is it only ever lived up north for a year. So it pretty much has the normal amount of rust for a 18 year old car. No rust what so ever on the body though, just random things under it.

you realize that jason's has a GTX swap with GTR management and a whole bunch of very nice work done to the body... right?

oh haha I did not realize all that.. very nice jason!

I could see trying to sell it to just some person for that much.. but who ever I sell mine to I know what they are going to want to do with it. If they want it they will buy it, and if not I will just keep it and swap it myself..then drive it and enjoy it hahaha.

All car are over priced now adays anyway..have you seen what miatas go for? its insane!

Haha I have never seen that..but I can belive it. Now adays anyone who has a car that gets good gas miles thinks that means the can sell it for more.. that and the need for road/autox/club racing is why miatas price has jumped sooooo much.

worth more than my stupid sohc.. i would love an awd. 4k for a stock protege seems way too much, jason's modded protege would be nice to have :D
protege is sold, selling the last bits that I have left. Buy them.
