    alignment,tie rod end,ball joint same as 2wd?

are the alignment specs on the awd the same as a fwd?
also are the outer tierods and balljoints the same on the
    awd as the fwd.

Not sure on alignment specs. Outer tie rod ends are different. Don't know about the inners though. Ball joint is the small early BG one (same as FWD).

Not much help but it's a start.

I don't know what the spec is but I like stock caster and zero toe up front and 2 deg neg camber. In back, about a 1/4" toe on the street car and I'm still experimenting with the rallycar.

The front end uses the same lower ball joint and outer tie rod end as the 2wd pro. The rear is exactly the same lateral links and trailing links as the 2wd.. The front lower bushings are the same if I remember right. I stopped keeping track of what crosses over from the 2wd to the 4wd.. All I know is I have a complete spare suspension for my car if it ever needs it..

Oh and Jay I run the Evo at 2mm toe in front and rear.. pretty neutral car that way.. toe out for high speed stuff like Pikes, and toe in for tight twisty stuff.. -2.5 cam front and -1.5 cam rear.. no complaints from the driver about alignment settings yet, just the pirelli's...

Yeah I think that's about the amount of toein I have in back. It gets aligned here pretty quick, it'll be interesting to see how far it's out from that.

                According to the 4WD supp:

                Front: Total Toe-in: 0°12' +- 18'
                Camber: -0°45' +- 45'
                Caster: 2°35' +- 55'

                Rear: Total toe-in: 0°12' +- 18'
                Camber: -0°20' +- 45'

If you can get down to Kenosha, we can take care of that alignment for you.

i put new 2wd tie rod ends (escort gt ones i had laying around new in the box, autozone ones) which were longer than the ones i pulled off the car.
well i did the alignment at home(toe only) and i dialed it in to 1/8 inch toe in,so.....

does anyone know how to convert degrees to fractions of a inch?

also do you think a 1/8 inch toe in is o.k.?

An 1/8 should be close enough for a home job. Our aligner calls for 0.00" to 0.10" with 0.05" as perfered.

BTY: We have new John Bean Aligners and 4WD Protege is in there (as is 4-wheel steer 626 - and you though our Proteges where rare).
