Whatever u do try not driving it without the driveshaft connected, that will end up with blown tranny. For the other things that don't work start checking fuses and make sure the speedo cable is hooked to the transmission. What parts it it missing?

not missing anything. i got a driveshaft i just needed a new transfer carrier which i was able to find through another member for a very good price. i am not driving the car in this condition. once the tc comes in ill bolt everything up and be running again.

Welcome! Hope you makes some friends here and gain/share some useful information. Good times.

I'm still a newbie at this forum IMHO. I used to be very active on a dif forum that went down, but... that's another story.

As for your car, congratulations. The speedo not working has been a common issue at least from what I'm familiar with. You may need a new speedo cable or speedo gear where the cable goes into the tranny. Cable is rather spendy at the dealer. You can try a used one from the junkyard, maybe. Not totally sure on the because I own a GT, not a GTX. Maybe someone with a GTX can chime in here.

Windows not working? Do you have power windows? Often it's the switches that go bad because of the age of the car. Search the junkyards (I think we should all be doing this in or der accumulate cheape parts before they're lost forever. Nothing against buying new... It's just that many oif the parts aren't even being carried anymore.

Hope it's something simple like a fuse but I doubt it.

        Good luck.
