    new RF products

well, aside from hearing that the MB quart amps are nothing like RF's, RF has their '04 product lines out.
they've even got a 3k watt class D amp now they aren't exactly pretty amps, but they look solid. scroll down on this page:

and some new subs and speakers too:

The problem with RF is that they are expensive.

and 10-15 years ago worth every freakin cent. I remember my 1st Punch300 and 650. The CRX I had them installed in was a little bass heavy. The Punch 300 was being used to run four 10" subs along side the Punch 45 that powered 12 polk audio speakers in the cabin of my Grand Am that was in the Choices section of Car Audio and Electronics back in Aug '90. I still own the AudioControl Epicenter I used, the rest was either misplaced(stolen), borrowed for friends installs or sold...

Trivial Pursuit: Where did they come up with the naming convention of 'Punch###' for that year/line of amplifier?

Yeah I had the Punch 200 I believe that was the model, when it came out. It was when they first came out with the football shape, but ended up selling it for the SoundStream Class A6.0 that I got at dealer accomodation price when I worked at a local home and car audio shop. 60% below retail, I couldn't resist, otherwise I would have never been able to afford SoundStream products. I still have the amp today and it is in mint condition.

well, more info for you all

alpine will be releasing a touch screen DVD player

RF's H2 was the loudest vehicle at CES, hitting a 163.5 with music. has a wall of ten 12" T1 subs powered by a pair of T15002 amps. one guys said it would have been truely sick if they used their new 15" T2 subs they had on display

JL had a "entry level" system on display in a vehicle. $2k for the equipment. RF had something similar, but theirs was only $1400.

Wholey cow, how long til the front bumper falls off the RF H2?
for those of you that don't know the CES stands for Consumer Electronics Show which is a show that the CEA Consumer Electronics Association puts together in Las Vegas. It's like a freakin toy show for people like me, too bad I am not there at this time..

                CES

If I could find one I would post a picture of the RF H2.

grrr why is alpine puttin out another dvd hu.... they need to make type X woofers... I would so be all over those

and for those of you who care, Ive decided as soon as I get the last few things done with my car, time to save up for a new system.... Alpine F1 Status... for the system of the HU and the DTS 5.1 audio proc. the amp and the 2 way speakers goes for 8k through a dealer when you add it all up so that wil be awhile before I get it but when I do... omg drool i mean cmon I read somewhere where the damn HU has like 50 some odd EQ settings... like 10 for each speaker and 10 for the subs... then the audio proc. has around 24 band EQ.... damn thing plugs into a laptop to program it
