    Whats going to happen...

If I throw a BP in my 4wd protege and throw somewhere around 8-10psi of boost at the stock trany and drivetrain? The transmission is in great shape right now..same with the drivetrain.

us playing on the ice when we should be working
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

i think you will be just fine. the ONLY differences between your trans and a BPT GTX trans are:

              slightly different 3/4 gear ratios
open center diff instead of viscous lsd

You sure about that? It's been a long time (sheez, damn near ten years) since I compared the guts of those 2 boxes but I coulda sworn the bpt stuff was a bit beefier, and not much internally matched up. I know cold that gtx bf halfshafts don't talk to a bpt trans. Did they stick a different version of the bf box in the awd protege? That I don't know.

BF box != BG box... not at all. ive seen both BF and BG 4wd gearboxes, as well as BG GTX and GTR gearboxes, all in person. damn, thats a lot of gearboxes lol. i havent been inside any of them but here's what i know:

according to FSM specs, the BG boxes are all the same, aside from the center diff and 3/4 ratios. GTR boxes had a shot peened 1/2. the BPT boxes also had a better 1/2 synchro setup, forgot about that one.

just because the BG 4wd box has an open center doesnt mean its the same as the BF box. BF and BG are clearly very different even on the outside, but all the BG gearboxes are identical externally. the 4wd protege axles plug right into the GTX/R trannies.

Hey now..everyone can have fun once in awhile http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81gRDrIR4yQ

Its not like that was on dry pavment people..it was ice, it dont take much to spin tires on ice.

Yeah I have been hearing alot of mixed info on the subject. You say your running 10pis on the stock trans? For how long?
