I thought the FE3 bottom end was pretty stout as it was?

~$350 for a custom billet crank? that doesnt sound right... you cant even get a set of off the shelf billet rods for that much.

Here is the email so far....

We would have to see the crank, but you are looking in the $1600 to $1800 area to make 5 or more.

The crankshaft would be for a 2.0L 4 cylinder mazda DOHC. This is the FE series ohc, not the later model FS. It was only offered in japan and europe, but they are imported to the US by serious 1st gen probe/mx6 tuners. I will be hosting a small bulk buy of 5 cranks. I would like the crank to easily support up to at least 600-700HP...Most that will be using the crank will be running large turbochargers and makeing serious horsepower. If possible, i would like to see the cranks balanced, polished/knife edged, radii smoothed and oil holes chamfered. Thanks for the responce!

Hi, I was looking to get some information regarding the possibility of have some custom crankshafts made for me and a group of people from my forum.. i see that there is a minimum of 5, what price per unit would we be looking at? How much of a deposit is needed? I imagine we would have to send in a sample, would you guys be producing them or an outside company? What horsepower would these be good to and what are the specs for the material, I am guess forged billit steel? Look forward to your responce, thanks!

Um, I think the price he quoted was for each crank not all 5.
