    sensor question?

on the top of the firewall behind the throttle body there is a sensor
it connects a vaccuum to the intake manifold through this sensor then back out

is it some type of idle control?
ever since it broke the car will not idle under 1300 rpms

i went to ford and they do not make the part anymore
is this something id have to find at a junkyard?

        yep its the purge solenoid

plug/cap the vac line leading to the intake manifold and it will be fine. my 95 has been like this for 2 years, passes emissions and all.
