    Ford IAC mounting block

Okay... anyone with a MS knows that it has some issues controlling the stock mazda IAC. The MS PWM Idle circuit was designed to use a ford IAC, such as you will find on the escort 1.9, and nearly every other fuel injected ford motor. I'm hoping to design an aluminum mounting block so that I can use of these ford IAC valves.

Would anyone else want one of these things? Is this a dumb idea?

How do you have your Mazda IAC setup? I am pretty happy with how mine works.

well its set up like stock except its controlled by the MS PWM circuit. i told you how it stopped working after a while, maybe the overheating transistor was causing issues with it working properly too.

i need to order that 2nd heat sink and get my MS sent out to you.

I played around with mine for a while until I finally found some closed loop settings that worked well with the Mazda valve. It acts pretty much like stock for me.

i need to see if MS2e can do closed loop. i really hope so. the occassional 2000rpm idle is annoying sometimes.

Yeah I had it open loop for a while It's a night and day difference. It's also nice how it gradually slows idle as the car warms up and compensates when a load is added.

I run open loop ms2e since I didn't have time to figure out closed loop. It's ok, idle varies between 700 and 930 rpm depending on external temps. However, the code I have has spark advance vs load so I can vary spark depending on the engine load at idle. With that, the idle is much better but still not perfect, needs to be closed loop, what i'm planning to figure out as soon as it's warm enough outside.
