    track legal battery relocation help?

im relocating my battery to the trunk i need to know what i need to make it legal at the track to pass tech inspection

i have 4 gauge wire i am using to start out with will use 2 gauge later if i need it running an optima yellow top sealed battery not really sure if i need a box or just to have it securely mounted

if there is anything else i should know tell me i never had trouble passing tech before just don't want to get there and have them tell me i cant run

i would like answers from people that know track rules people guessing will not help

Most tracks (not really knowing anybetter) will require a battery box witha vent tube going outside the car. They will also require a secure mounting for the batter besides the box itself

call them and ask for regulations. i know tracks around here require a emergency cutoff on the rear of the car if the battery is back there

yea it really sucks so im going to have to look for another place to stick the msd 6al to bad i don't know anyone that could make me a custom tray for the stock location that's a little longer in the front for the msd box to sit on

well i guess i don't need a box for a sealed battery but i still need a cutoff switch on the back of the car and that's the reason im not doing it

as far as i know the track out here will let you run with a relocated battery as long as the terminals are covered so they cant ark and the battery must be secure wherever you put it
ill know for sure friday when i take the 323 for the frist time since the hybrid
and battery relocation so i hope they let me run
