    HKS Fcon Information thread for BPT

    Another forum member asked me a question;

    How to get an HKS Fcon from a b6t to work with a newly installed BPT engine.

    The PROM chip on the motherboard will need to be swapped for the correct chip. The one labeled 304 is the correct chip for the BPT.

    Fcon is a fuel only piggyback ECU and the chips are tuned specifically for each engine. So whether you had a Fcon from a b6t or a 2jz-gte, you need a BPT chip to run it on a BPT.

    I made this thread to inform others here on wihandyman.com with info for this rather dated technology as it may become scarce in the future. I've included a pic of the Fcon from my BPT GTX (with all it's old skool jdm hotness) for reference and a link to more informative text from the Fcon instruction manual.

    Although it's for a turbo supra many of the same rules apply.
