    no fuel

    ok my car is a 94 escort gt 1.8. ok the car will run for a minute and then starts to sputer and shuts off also if you just tap the gas it shuts off then wont start again. its geting spark and geting fuel to the fuel rail but not to the injectors. i cahnged the fuel pressure regulator and still didnt fix it. then i took the rail out and turned the key on and turned it over and no fuel spray at all help please!

    check power and ground at the fuel pump connector.possible fuel pump crapped out.and change ur filter as well

      yea kinda sounds like a fuel pump, pressure but no volume....

        filter has been changed and i changed pump and i have fuel now but have to pull the intake one of the old injectors broke in the hole on the motor so i have to get that out of the valves.

          no it sounds like a weak pump mine did that is it the origanal pump?
          i hoooked a hose right off the pump and sprayed it out of the car to see if it flowed good and nope it was craping out so i put a walbourogh 255 lph now i have more pressure thaty i know what to do with .lol

              ok i ended up puting a fuel cell and external pump in the car. and now it does the same thing but! it is caused by the maf. the second to last prong it is goldish in color. that is the thing that is giving me the trouble does any one know what it does? i know it goes to teh ecu haha and thats it. when teh wire that goes their is pluged in the car wont start but when it aint it will run but no rev and it stays running until you try to rev it. also if you plug the wire in while it is running the car shuts off.

                  ok i have done every thing i can to geti t right and it is but still car dont rin right i have swaped my motor into a festiva and the harness is right and i am using the bp09 ecu and this is what it does and as long as it will run

                    try pulling your plugs one by one while the motor is running and if one of the plugs you pull doesn't affect the way the engine is running then that cylinder isn't firing.

                      yeah they are firing would a bad tps cause it to do it or not? because if you move the vaf as you rev up the car will rev but not on its own

                        Can you post a picture of the intake?

                        Can you post a picture of the intake and the MAF? My car ran like this when I had a poor connection to the MAF, sounds very similar. Is anything blocking the MAF?

                          ok hear it is remember it is in a festiva and it is all corect it is egt harness and ecu all grounds and every thing is corect.

                            When I installed my CAI there was a sensor that was clipped into the air filter box, is this connected? exact same symptoms when I tried starting my car and stupidly forgot to connect it
